Full Stack Engineers

Problems. Big problems. Really big problems. No problem.

Your passion is not fast cars, adrenalin sports or doughnuts. No, what really excites you is problems. Or to be more precise, solving them. And for you, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. If problems are no problem to you and you have a willingness to learn and explore new technologies, you can solve a big dilemma for us. Starting right here.

The heart of the matter. Can you get to it?

The Art of Reckoning. Can you turn it into a science?

Skyscanner is the world’s travel search engine with ambitions to be the universe’s personal travel assistant. If you agree this is a question worth addressing, let our aspiration be your inspiration. As a full stack engineer, we want to employ your problem solving capabilities to the max, from tricky hard kernel issues all the way to front end client. Unravelling global performance conundrums, proposing new design and systems solutions and, all the while, instigating and promoting best engineering practices. To be really useful to us, you should have across the board experience – a bit of database, a bit of back end as well as some UX familiarity into the bargain – after all, if you don’t know what can go wrong, you won’t know how to fix it. Above all, we’re looking for someone who can make difficult decisions and take ownership of a problem from end to end.

If you hate doing what you’ve always done but love finding new and better solutions, make our problems your problem. Apply today.

You can offer us:

  • A hunger to learn.
  • A desire to meet challenges.
  • A passion for technology and development.
  • A commitment to applying engineering best practice to produce top quality solutions.

We can offer you:

  • An excellent career move (you may never need to job hunt again).
  • The chance to work with great developers, in fact, great people across the board.
  • The space to be trusted to do what you do best. And to make decisions that matter.
  • The potential to tackle big stuff, not small stuff.
  • The freedom to do your job when it suits you best.

What do you need to apply?

We’re looking for people across all levels of experience and we’re more concerned with what you can do than what you have done. But at a minimum:

  • Computer Science degree or similar
  • experience in a web economy or other tech environment
  • proficiency in Python, PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • familiarity with product engineering, software testing and database design techniques
